Print Defect Detection

The new AVIS system from TecScan is a highly advanced vision system capable of automatically detecting defects such as streaks, hickeys, registration and colour. Until now this technology has only been available to companies which have been able to afford a high system cost and long pay back period. The new AVIS system is aimed at all sectors of the print industry.

Complex software algorithms allow extremely high image processing speed ensuring immediate detection of print defects. User friendly interface via touch screen control ensures quick and easy set up, there are no lengthy menu systems.

The dedicated hardware is specified for performance and reliability, with it's 30-bit true colour frame store which means 1074 million colours, matched to a state of the art camera producing 460 TV lines resolution and incorporating an incredible 40:1 zoom lens for improved magnification.

The system includes features such as split screen and incorporates a Label/Check facility which is unique to our systems enabling automatic 100% repeat length monitoring. The CS1 has the additional benefit of system expandability.
