Edale Sigma

A dedicated packaging and converting press specified to handle a wide range of substrates. A limitless specification because every machine is tailored to meet a client's exact requirements.

To enhance control over web handling, printing and converting the Sigma makes full use of the latest shaftless technology. As standard the Sigma is equipped with digital servo drives on each driven axis. The ability to precisely balance each of these axes ensures constant torque throughout the web resulting in very accurate registration stability.

Although the Sigma is a high technology machine, ease of use and durability are maintained as high priorities. The print stations are based on an "in-line" geometry, enabling ease of access to each component for tool changes and cleaning. Touch screen press controls enabling access to the invaluable tension management, registration control and job storage functions as well as many more features.

Also standard are:

          - Ceramic Anilox rollers
          - Reverse angle doctor blades

Because of the "web up" design of the Sigma print station, the press can be specified with any number of combination printing or value adding options

The unwind/rewind unit combines safe and easy reel management with accurate closed loop control provided via an air balanced dancer arm which constantly monitors the amount of substrate is fed into/taken out of the machine. Constant tension is achieved through large diameter, plasma rollers and load cells controlling the infeed drive as well as both infeed and outfeed again being independently servo driven.
